Fibber McGee and Molly Bonus Episode: "Returning From Hollywood."
I'm going to post additional FM&M episodes on Thursdays until we're caught up with 1940. It's still Springtime in Wistful Vista in 1940. That's because we got a late start.
Jim and Marion Jordon, who play McGee and Molly, guest-starred on the popular dramatic program presented by Lux Theater. Here they return to Wistful Vista from their triumph in Hollywood by train. Fibber proves again he's his own worst enemy, and his lovely Irish wife and co-conspirator passively-aggressively eggs him on, as usual.
It would be great fun to find a copy of the Lux show they did. I'll look for that. Also, Jim and Marion Jordan appeared on the popular vignette thriller program, "Suspense," a few years later. Below is the picture that accompanied promotion of that CBS program.
